Located in the Village of Rockyford. A sign on the corner of the lot marks the property and the public is welcome to drive by or call to make an appointment with the owner, 403-533-0008. The property is visible from three sides if you drive by.
This project highlights urban landscape water conservation. Landscapes
typically use 50% of urban water supply during the summer months and use
inordinate amounts of pesticides and fertilizers that runoff during rain events. The
idea is to reduce reliance on urban water supply and chemical inputs through the use of:
Drought tolerant plants
Ground cover plants
Landscape features
Compost & mulch to enrich the soil and retain moisture
Rain barrels & eaves trough system to capture and direct rain to flower beds
Soaker hoses
